Graduating from the renowned Berklee College of Music in 2014, he was awarded the Guitar Department Achievement Award twice and represented the college in major national festivals such as the Washington DC Jazz Festival, Boston Beantown Jazz Festival and JEN Jazz Conference. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; After completing his studies at Berklee Alexander relocated to Europe and spent several years immersed in the vibrant art scene of Berlin, Germany, working with various forms of music and types of ensembles. Besides performances at venues and festivals he hosted a monthly jam session with Jazz and electronic musicians at Klunkerkranich the Okujou Beat Salon. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; His growing interest in his own cultural heritage brought him to Armenia in 2018 where he was invited to teach in the Jazz department of&nbsp; Yerevan State Conservatory and worked closely with beloved Armenian pianist Vahagn Hayrapetyan. Although his music is deeply rooted in the jazz tradition, it is rich with many other influences such as blues, soul, folk, classical, and electronic music.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; As a composer his works have been performed by ensembles internationally at De Singel, CC Muze, Howest Hogeschool, The Bimhuis Amsterdam, Hnita Jazz Club. His original sound installation Ways of&nbsp; Water was premiered at the UGent Art Science Interaction Lab in spatial audio. I am a guitarist, composer, and educator from the US relocated to the Netherlands a few years ago, based in South Holland and offering guitar lessons and a wide spectrum of educational services. I did my bachelor's studies as a guitarist at the legendary Berklee College of Music where I specialized in Jazz, and hold master's degrees from Yerevan State Conservatory and Royal Conservatoire Antwerp both as a guitarist and composer of acoustic and electronic music. While my background is in Jazz and that tends to be at the root of my&nbsp; perspective on music education in general I am quite open minded and versitile and am happy to work with students at a variety of levels of experience, stylistic backgrounds and interests. Whether you are new to music and to the guitar and want to strum the chords and jam on the riffs to some simple songs or are taking deeper steps and have more ambitious artistic goals I'm sure that I can be a valuable resource for you on your journey. I currently teach primarily at home in my living room in central Delft as well as at the Max Guitar Store in Den Haag Scheveningen, reachable from nearby cities such as: The Hague, Leiden, Rijswijk, Voorburg, Leidschendam, Pijnacker, Nootdorp, Delfgauw, Berkel en Rodenrijs, Zoetermeer, Schiedam, Rotterdam etc.&nbsp;I have also given workshops at institutions such as American School of the Hague, Zuidwest College, Incheon Music Academy, and Dworp Zomercursus Halywynstichting on topics such as guitar playing, jazz improvisation, composing, electronic music production and band coaching.
